Crop Dividers

With crop dividers you can save $6.00 to $7.00 per acre.  They will pay for themselves in the first 600 acres.  12.4 inch wide tires on a high clearance sprayer will trample about 3% of your crop.  This equals a loss of about $7.50 per acre or 20 acres per section of land.  The crop dividers will save about 80 to 90% of this loss equaling to about $4100.00 per section sprayed.  Some of the other benefits to crop dividers include:

 

• Less volunteer grain the following year in sprayer tracks

• Easier swathing and combining when grain is not trampled

• Easier tillage in wet conditions, trampled crop no longer gets caught in the tillage equipment
